James Paul "Jim" David
70, of Zionsville, passed away March 6, 2015. He was born August 2, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Doyle Lowry David and Helen Viola Salander David. Raised in Houston, Texas, he graduated from Waltrip High School and attended Baylor University and the University of Houston. He was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. In sales his whole career, he worked for various companies in Texas. For the last 19 years he was co-owner of Jim & Candy David in Indiana.
Jim enjoyed golf, crossword puzzles, IU basketball, NFL football, cowboy history, musical theatre, opera, raw oysters, beer and cigarettes, not necessarily in that order. A former Little League coach, he was a fan of both the Little League World Series and the College Baseball World Series. He was also proud to be the number two overall winner in his NFL Football Pool he played for the past 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Candace Cunningham-David, whom he married in 1987, and children: Chris (Evelyn) of New Braunfels, TX, Jon (Angie) of Lenexa, KS, Kevin (Alice) of Houston, TX , Tricia Pope (John) of Houston, TX , Alison David of Indianapolis, sisters: Brenda Culver and Linda O'Connor, both of Houston, and 8 grandchildren: Taylor, Jeffrey, Riley, Ellie, AnaCorynn, Kendall, Brody and Reagan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert and sister, Nancy.
