Janet Mae Brown,
81 passed away peacefully Saturday, February 16, 2013. Janet was born in Indianapolis on February 21, 1931 to Claude "Pop" and Flora (Brock) Laughner. Janet retired from Jenn-Air where she worked as an inspector. She was known and loved for her pleasant personality, loving nature, and most of all, her great laugh. She was a giving and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her family is so ever grateful for each day they were blessed to have her in their lives; and she will be so truly missed.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd; sister, Francis; sons, Mark and Mike; and grandson, Steve.
She is survived by her loving children, Janet, June (Kent), Jim (Joanie), Kenny (Chatty), and Kim; grandchildren, Rick, Jenna, Haley, Kristy, Mike, Kelly, Amanda, Megan, Matthew, Corey, Whitney, Tori, Kyle, and Saleah; great-grandchildren, Alyvia, Travis, Noah, Bailey, Jordyn and Nathan; and brothers, Richard and Charles.
A memorial service will be held at the Aaron Ruben Nelson Mortuary, 11411 North Michigan Rd, on Saturday, February 23rd from 1 PM. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to A.R.N. Cremation Services.
