Jennie Jeanette Becker Samberg
Life resident of Indianapolis died January 19, 2015. Jennie was born June 27, 1920 to Joseph and Bertha Becker. She was a graduate of Manuel High School. Jennie served as an administrative assistant at the Bureau of Jewish Education and for the CDC of the Indiana State Board of Health.

She was also very active in the community serving as president of Golda Meir Group, Rayus Club and Sisterhood of Temple Emeth in Florida; she was a life member of Hadassah and National Council of Jewish Women; served as vice president of ORT and a member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, City of Hope, Hooverwood Guild, New Horizons Group, White Cross Guild of Methodist Hospital, Eastern Star- Broad Ripple Chapter and Etz Chaim Deborah Sisterhood. Jennie volunteered her time to the American Cancer Society and to Riley Hospital for Children. She will be deeply missed.

Jennie is survived by her beloved family, sons, David (Rory) and Rick (Linda) Samberg and daughter, Barbara (Ray) Samberg-Lucas; grandchildren, Blair (Michael) Miller and Zachary Watterson and 2 great grandsons, Harrison and Maxwell Miller.

Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Al Samberg and her daughter, Cynthia Elaine Watterson.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary with burial following in Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

The family will be sitting shiva at the Samberg residence, 3106 Lehigh Court, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday until sundown.
