Jerry L. Parker, 62, a lifelong resident of Zionsville passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 30th after losing his battle with lung cancer. He was born to Leroy Parker (deceased) and Ilene Laura (Brown) Parker on November 13, 1950.
Survivors include his mother, Ilene Parker; his wife of 39 years, Rena (Garrell) Parker; two sons, Steven (Penny) Parker and Jason (Katie) Parker; four grandchildren, Austin, Chase, Audrey, and Susan Parker; sister, Bonnie Trosky; nephew and niece, Jeff Trosky and Kathy (Trosky) Kerr; Jeff's son, Joshua Trosky; and Kathy's daughter and son, Cassandra Howard and Jacob Kyler.
Jerry was a member of the Zionsville American Legion Post #79 for 43 years and the Boone County 40 & 8 since 1983.
Memorial services and burial will be held at Salem United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 8th at 11:30 AM. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Zionsville Legion Post #79.
