Joan Fahey

Joan Fahey,

99, of Indianapolis passed away May 25, 2016. She was born on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1917 to William and Lillian (Meadows) Fahey. Joan graduated from Shortridge High School in 1934 and later studied at Indiana University and Butler University.

Joan began working in Home Services at Indianapolis Power and Light Company. During her 42 year career at IPL, she moved from Home Services to Sales and finally retired in 1980 with the title of Executive Secretary. She also volunteered for 25 years at both the Indianapolis Museum of Art and St. Vincent Hospital. Joan was a member of the Goodwill Service Guild and Clowes Hall Women's Committee.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Fahey.

Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Museum of Art or Goodwill Industries.
