Joe T. Alonso,
87, Zionsville, passed away on June 17, 2014 at the Hearth at Tudor Gardens. He was born December 14, 1926 in Terre Haute, IN to the Celestino and Auralia Alonso. A graduate of Horace Mann High School, Gary, IN, veteran of the United States Army Air Force, and graduate of Gary (IN) Business College, he practiced public accounting in northwest Indiana for 40 years prior to retirement. He served as president of the National Computer Accountants Association, and was active in many civic, church and social organizations in northwest Indiana and Zionsville. Joe enjoyed hunting, travelling, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary (Clay); four children, Robert of Zionsville, Brian of Bainbridge Is, WA, Jane of Angola, IN, and Toni of Santa Rosa, CA; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, with services to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent Hospice.
