John Paul Arthur loved his family. Throughout his life he was a computer programmer and technology personnel recruiter including running his own recruitment business, but he was most at home raising his children, supporting his wife, and loving his grandchildren.
He made many sacrifices for the welfare of those whom he loved. John loved showering his family with creative gifts which often came with a unique theme carefully crafted and presented to the individual. He ran a department of the FBI that he called the "Family Bureau of Investigation" that kept him informed of any potential family misdemeanors and felonies. He was a consummate collector including sports paraphernalia, NASCAR toys, and action figures and dolls of all kinds, including Barbies, all still in the box in mint condition, of course.
John breathed his last breath on September 18, 2018 after a long fight with Lewy body dementia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marta Jo Arthur in January of that same year. He is survived by his children; Dan, Tom, Jocelyn, Joe, and Rick; many grandchildren; his sister, Mary Beight; and his mother, Eva Irene Arthur. He will be missed by them all.
