John H. Manka

86 of Indianapolis passed away September 18, 2016. He was born May 20, 1930 in Indianapolis IN, to the late James and Dora (Gray) Manka. He was a graduate of Butler University where he lettered in both football and golf. He was an officer and pilot in the U.S. Air Force. He was a teacher and coach for over 35 years at Lawrence Central, Westfield, and Arlington High Schools. He was a life long official with the IHSAA for football and basketball. John was preceded in death by his wife Anne Fisher Manka and brother James. He is survived by his son Steve, grandchildren Hanna and Sterling, brother Donald, stepchildren Beth, Chris (Donna), grandchildren Morgan, Benjamin, Holly, and Madeline. Private services are pending.
