John Robert Trueblood
84, of Indianapolis, passed away October 15, 2020. He was born November 15, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN to the late John and Mary (Montgomery) Trueblood. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1954 then studied for his architectural license. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956.
John was a member of the American Institute of Architects and spent his career as an architect licensed to practice in Indiana, California, Virginia, and Texas. In retirement, he was very active in researching the genealogy of his family and was accepted as a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
John is survived by his daughters, Christine (Robert) Pedersen of Zionsville, IN and Catherine Richards of Bloomington, IN; granddaughter, Christine J. (Ryan) Richards; sister, Sara Anne Turner of Martinsville, IN; cousins, Thomas and Stephen Montgomery; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Joan Schmutte.
