Joseph "Joe" Ronald Halderman, 73 of Indianapolis passed away May 24, 2012. Joe was born in Greencastle, IN on September 21, 1938 to Joseph Roscoe and Virginia Eileen (O'Neal) Halderman. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960. After receiving his Associate's Degree, Joe worked as a commercial real estate broker and was owner of The Halderman Company. He was a founding partner of Sunshine Promotions and co-owned Village Records, Canal Publishing and Center Stage Management (Good Seed, Roadmaster and Faith Band). Joe was also a restaurateur, co-owning Where's Papa and Hook, Line & Sinker from 1973-1977. He was a Certified Herbalist and owner of The Herb Shop in Indianapolis from 1996 - 1999. Joe had a passion for thoroughbred horses and co-owned several horses from 2001 2008.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Kathleen Caylor Halderman, daughters, Ronetta (Steve) Carroll of McCordsville, IN and Joetta (Mike) Kirkman of Martinsville, IN and son, Brian (Milica) Walker, Carmel, IN, grandchildren, Steven (Brianne), Wheaton, IL, Jordan (Elizabeth), New York, NY, Katie, Paige, Abby, Baby Jude, nephews, Terry (Cindy) Halderman of Boggstown, IN, Mark Halderman of Kentucky, neice, Heather Escoto, Miami, FL and dear friend and caregiver LaBrent Poole, Indianapolis, IN,.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Embassy Suites Indianapolis- North, 3912 Vincennes Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268 at 1:00 4:00 pm.
