Joseph F. Meneely,
60, of Brazil passed away at 9:40 am Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in home hospice. Joe grew up in the Terre Haute/Brazil area helping work the family farm. Joe's acclaimed hero, his dad, lived on through Joe's incredible depth of expertise in numerous trade skills and a special know-how coupled with common sense with which he developed a solid life foundation. Employment for The Pillsbury Company in Terre Haute allowed Joe to earn a degree in Management Information Systems. His career began with Pillsbury headquarters in Minneapolis, MN in 1988 and spanned 27 years predominantly in the transportation and concrete industries; the last 12 years with Sagamore Ready Mix of Fishers, Indiana.
With Joe, family always came first; both as a youth and later within his own family unit. Free time was enjoyed at the girls' school and sporting activities, weekends of family camping; and in the last few years riding the motorcycle with his wife whenever and wherever possible. After his "real" job, Joe spent his spare time rebuilding the family's Lebanon home from the ground up, one wall at a time. Heartfelt thanks go out to several very good friends who helped with the family's 17 year project.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas C. and Lillian A. Meneely; and beloved aunt, Mary F. Green. Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughters, Kathryn Williams (sig. other -Zach Seedorf), Alyssa Meneely (fiance -Nicholas Cross), and Jennifer Meneely all of Indianapolis; grandsons, Dylan Williams and Brendon Williams; siblings, Dennis Meneely of MD, and Mary Walton, Alan Meneely and Jackie Crowder of IN and their families.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 1 - 4pm on Friday, April 1st at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Rd, Zionsville.
