Joseph S. Moskovitz,
A true family man, he passed away peacefully on the morning of November 27, 2018. Joseph was born to European emigrants, Edward and Anna Moskovitz, on November 17, 1923. A graduate of Manual High School in Indianapolis, he became a professional in the Insurance Industry, helping others plan for life's financial challenges. Joseph was a veteran of WWII. He served in the US Army Air Corps and General Patton's infantry during the European Campaign and helped liberate France.
Joseph was a voracious reader and student of Holocaust studies. Big Band/Swing music was dear to him and he often hummed songs by his favorites. Never one to prevent you from laughing out loud, his fun sense of humor will always be remembered. His beautiful wife, four children, and two grandchildren were a tremendous source of pride for him. Joseph enjoyed traveling and upon retirement he took several cruises with his wife, Sylvia. He was always thinking of others and had a way of providing the needed support and patience for any situation.
Joseph was a past member of Beth-El Zedeck in Indianapolis and a member of its Men's Club. He was also a member of Temple Israel in West Lafayette, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; sons, William, Paul, and Edward; daughter, Linda; and grandchildren, Jessica and Daniel.
A graveside service will be held in Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery on Friday, November 30th at 11 AM.
