Joseph Rabb

Joseph Rabb, 87, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024. He was born on November 8, 1936 to The Honorable Judge Saul and Anna Rabb. He was a life-long resident of Indianapolis and longtime member of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation and its Cemetery Committee. He was also a member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck Loyal Daily Minyon.

Joe attended Shortridge High School. He received his BA from Butler University and his JD from Indiana University School of Law. He served as Prosecutor of the Indiana Alcoholic Beverage Commission in the 70s and 80s and spent much of his career in private practice.

He married the love of his life, Susan Ann Berry, on November 20, 1970. They enjoyed traveling to Siesta Key Beach, time with family and spoiling their golden retrievers and Siamese cat.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Dr. Aaron Rabb. He is survived by his children, Beth (Steve) and Dan; and grandsons, Jonah and Sam.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Sunday, June 9th at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 North Michigan Rd. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation North Cemetery next to his beloved Susan.

Memorial contributions may be made to IHC Cemetery Fund or to Congregation Beth-El Zedeck Daily Minyon Fund.
