Judith Resnick, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 29, 2023, after gallantly battling congestive heart failure. Judy was born on May 6, 1939. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Albert and Henrietta Meyer, and her husband Fred Resnick. Judy graduated from Shortridge High School, attended Indiana University, and graduated from Butler University with a degree in accounting. She met the love of her life, Fred Resnik while they were in High School, and they enjoyed over 60 years of married life together. Judy was a wonderful mom who loved “making a house a home.” She valued family time together, always hosting weekly Sunday night dinners for everyone in her extended family to attend. Judy enjoyed playing mahjong, bridge, canasta, going western dancing and playing golf with Fred, and knitting blankets for all of her grandchildren. Judy and Fred were long time members of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck.
She is survived by her children, David (Miriam) Resnick, and Laurie (Lowell) Rolsky, her grandchildren, Daniel (Andrea), Jordan (Danny) Monckton, Alison (Hannah Knight), Josh (Janie) Rolsky, Jeremy (Carly) Rolsky, sister, Donna Leff, and 3 great grandchildren, Mia, Jonathan, and Sarah. Her funeral service will be Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 2:00pm at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Funeral Home, 11411 N. Michigan Road. Live stream will be available by clicking HERE
Judy’s family will be observing Shiva following the funeral services at the Mystic Bay Clubhouses from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. They will be attending services at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 6:00 pm.
