Judy George Shuel

Longtime resident of Carmel, IN and Jupiter, FL passed away on September 30, 2017, in Florida, at the age of 77. Admired for her charm, style, hospitality and athleticism; Judy was an avid tennis player when she was younger, accomplished golfer and Master bridge player. She was a member of Jupiter Hills Country Club and a member of Crooked Stick Golf Club.

Judy was born in Frankfort, IN to Vivian Cossell Newhouse and Paul George. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School class of 1958.

She is survived by her step-children: Bridget Shuel-Walker, Steve (Jessica Webster) Shuel and David (Shannon) Shuel; grandchildren, Ames and Ava Walker, Paige, David and Ella Shuel; sister, Trudy George and two nieces and other extended family. The family is immensely grateful to the care and friendship of Cheryl Gloor and Kristi Collins during the last several years. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved parents.

Anyone who knew Judy, knew of her deep love for standard poodles, they were her constant companions, the last being Sophie and Slugger. In honor of Judy's passion, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Indianapolis or to American Cancer Society.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
