June Etoile Lawall

May 30, 1926 — September 11, 2017

June Etoile Schwier Lawall, 91, of Indianapolis died peacefully in her sleep on September 11, 2017. She was born May 30, 1926 to the late Edward and Martha (Beuke) Schwier in Indianapolis.

June graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and attended Indiana University. She supported the World War II efforts while working at Fort Benjamin Harrison and later in life worked as an executive assistant for American United Life Insurance. Along with raising 3 children and being a devoted wife to the love of her life, the late Paul Karl Lawall, she thoroughly enjoyed gardening, her time as president of her local garden club and golfing and travelling with Paul.

She is survived by her children, daughter Sara (Michael) Zeckel of Zionsville, IN; son, Karl (Sheri) LaWall of Holly Springs, NC; son, James (Pam) LaWall of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Ben, Isaac, Monica Zeckel and Paige, Gretchen, Erika LaWall.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ, in downtown Indianapolis. The family will be receiving friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.
