KATHLEEN A. MURNANE, 65, of Fishers, died very unexpectedly on Saturday, December 30, 2017.
She was born October 15, 1952 in Salisbury, MD to Kathryn Higgins Murnane and Allan L. Murnane, both of whom preceded her in death. Kathy grew up in Fort Wayne, IN and moved to Indianapolis, IN to attend college. She spent her entire working career in Indianapolis except for 3 years she interned with the Graymoor Friars in Garrison, NY. She recently retired from ADESA, Inc. after 10 years of service. Kathy was a kind, loving and caring woman with a beautiful smile and laugh. She loved to travel, with Ireland being her favorite place to visit which she did on several occasions. Recently, it brought her great joy to attend High Kings concerts, a Celtic music group, often traveling to see them - she considered herself a "groupie"!
She is survived by her siblings, Dan (Pauline) Murnane of Westfield; Molly Murnane of Indianapolis; Paul Murnane of Westfield; Peggi (Jim) Grimes of Carmel; nieces/nephews, Marc (Amy), Katie, John, Christopher, Rachel and David; and great-nephews, Leeland, Bridgman and Duke.
We will host an "Irish Wake" on Sunday, January 7, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Grimes' home, 11421 Ralston Ave. Carmel, IN. Please come by to pay your respects, visit and/or share memories to help us remember and celebrate Kathy's life.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society or to donor's favorite charity.
