Kathy passed away at 2:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon with family by her side. Kathy was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and more. Mrs. Sherwood was a past member of Christ the King church located on the north side of Indianapolis. Kathy grew up in Lawrence and attended Lawrence Central High School.
Kathy got married in May of 1981 to Richard M Sherwood. Rick and Kathy raised three children and always kept a loving home. She was a creative woman who enjoyed activities such as boating, gardening, stained glass, reading and many more. She loved animals, old television shows and sitting outside enjoying beautiful weather on her patio. Mrs. Sherwood could always light up a room in a number of ways. From her beauty to personality she always knew how to talk to people, making them feel welcome. She opened her home to all friends that her children brought over, welcoming them all like her own.
While her children were attending school, she always volunteered to be room mother. Taking children to and from school, athletics and extra-curricular activities is never an easy challenge, Kathy always made it work. A great woman and now a guardian angel will always be missed. Loved to the moon and back, she will always be with us. We Love you Kathy (MOM)
Kathy is survived by her husband, Richard Sherwood; brother, Jim McDowell; children, Pete, Rachel and Eric Sherwood; and grandchildren, Alyssa Amos and Shayna Queen.
