Kerry Beth Cookerly,
54 years of age, died peacefully in her sleep on December 5, 2016 at home in Muncie, Indiana with her devoted golden doodle, Grace, by her side.

Kerry was born in Indianapolis, September 8, 1962, and was a 1980 graduate of Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis. She attended Ball State University and The Art Institute of Indianapolis.

Kerry spent many years as a talented floral designer before moving to the final fifteen years of her career at Herff-Jones as a Travel and Expense Analyst.

Kerry is survived by her mother, Molly K. Robertson; sister, Kelly Cookerly; brother-in-law, Dan Dietrich; nieces, Katie Cookerly-Dietrich and Gillian Cookerly-Dietrich, Indianapolis; and brother, Tedd Cookerly; sister-in-law, Amy Cookerly; and nephew, Aaron Cookerly, Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are her aunt, Barbara White Wallace, St. Louis; aunt, Sherrill Cookerly Crane, Paragon; and uncle, Randall L. White, Indianapolis.

She is preceded in death by her father, Theodore B. Cookerly; aunt, Valerie White Conley; uncle, Kenneth R. White; and grandparents, Florence H. Lollar Cookerly, Theodore Burns Cookerly, Helen Joyce White and Hershel White.

Kerry loved her family, warm weather, Arizona sunsets, dogs, Mountain Dew, camping, rainbows, and hummingbirds. She was an avid football fan and she cheered for the Arizona Cardinals when in Arizona and the Indianapolis Colts, her home team. Kerry was a proud Democrat and a passionate supporter of gay rights and LGBTQ. For the past 5 years Kerry had been enjoying spending her winters in Glendale, Arizona at the home of her beloved uncle, Richard Conley, husband of her late aunt, Valerie White Conley.

At Kerry's request there will be no service. Contributions in memory of Kerry may be made to The Muncie Animal Rescue Fund, 1209 W. Riggin Rd., Muncie IN 47303.

Friends and family are warmly invited to come together on Saturday, December 10 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. for a carry-in lunch/open house to celebrate Kerry's life. Casual dress and bright colors welcome.
