Indianapolis – On December 9th, 2020 Kevin Sisko passed away in the arms of his daughters. He was a husband, father, grandfather and friend who epitomized love in all that he did.
As a final act of love, Dad pre-wrote his own eulogy hoping to spare his family from stress. This eulogy was found in his Bible the day after he died. In lieu of funeral services, we have decided to share his message here.
Dear friends,
As you consider death this day, please do not pray for me. No amount of pleading allowed the rich man to draw close to Abraham’s bosom. I do not know what finally has caused this body to expire, but hopefully it has caused some here today to consider or at least really wonder if there is a living God. I testify to you today that God is the God of the living and dead. We all will bow with bended knee before Jesus. If you do not know Jesus – seek him today. For the thing you should fear the most is to fall into the hands of the living God. For those here, who have professed with their lips and they believe in their heart, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, to you I say rejoice for Jesus has prepared a glorious place to look forward to. I placed my hope in Jesus while I was alive and he is faithful. Please do not reject Jesus while you are alive, for he will reject you in death. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Kevin is survived by his adored wife Melody, daughters Alexis, Laken, and Kelsey, and his beloved grandson Cadence.
