Krishna Kumari Mathur passed away on November 17th, 2016 at the age of 92.
She was born in Jodhpur, India on August 22nd, 1924 on the auspicious day of Janmashtmi, the birthday of Lord Krishna. Pre-deceased by her Husband I.D. Mathur in 1971, she leaves behind 2 surviving brothers and 2 sisters in India. She is mourned by sons Umesh (Jean), Ashok (Minu), Alok (Aparajita) and Anil (Deicy) Mathur; and daughter Alka (Rahul) Kapur; her eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A talented poet and an extraordinary cook, she will be missed for loving and giving ways, her ready laugh and sense of humor.
Following a debilitating stroke, Krishna spent her last years at Hooverwood, Indianapolis where she received outstanding care from the staff and daily visits from her devoted family.
Services will be held at 11 am on Sunday November 20th at ARN Mortuary, 11411 N Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN 46077. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Hooverwood Nursing Home, 7001 Hoover Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
