Lawrence M. Reuben
Well known and accomplished attorney and community activist passed away on September 11, 2015. He was 67.

Lawrence was born in Akron, Ohio on April 5, 1948 to Albert and Sara Reuben.
He was a graduate of London School of Economics, 1969; Indiana University, 1970 and Indiana University School of Law in 1973.

During the Bayh Administration, Lawrence served in various positions for the State of Indiana and operated a private law practice for many years.

Lawrence was a champion for the under privileged and he served on numerous boards and service organizations, as well as authoring several publications. He was a frequent presenter at law conferences and was well recognized for his accomplishments. Among these accomplishments he was appointed as a Sagamore of the Wabash, ranked as one of Indiana's Top Lawyers and received the L.L. Goodman Leadership Award by the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis.

He will be forever missed by his beloved family; wife, Candice (Duquenne); daughter, Emily; sister, Elaine and brother, David, as well as brother-in-law John (Jane) Duquenne and Pamela (Fred) Brune.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, 600 West 70th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260. Burial will follow in Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery. Following cemetery services the family will be returning to the Congregation. Friends and family are welcome to join them for a meal of condolence.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to JFS at the Albert and Sara Reuben Senior Community Resource Center, 6905 Hoover Road, Indianapolis, IN 46260, Humane Society, WFYI, Planned Parenthood or Congregation Beth-El Zedeck.
