Lea Frankovitz,
78 of Indianapolis, passed away October 21, 2014. A lifelong resident, she was born to Sam and Fannie Goldstein on November 19, 1935. Lea graduated from Manuel High School and was dedicated to her family. She was a member of B'nai Torah Congregation, ORT, and volunteered at the Hooverwood Gift Shop.
Lea is survived by her husband, Bernie; daughters, Mona (Raphael) Blomberg of Israel, Sandra (Sam) Benson of New York, Shelley (Jeff) Wasserman of Maryland, and Francine Frankovitz of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Sema Sapper.
Funeral services will be held at the Aaron Ruben Nelson Mortuary, 11411 North Michigan Rd, on Thursday, October 23rd at 2 PM. Burial will follow in B'nai Torah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
The family will be sitting shiva at the Frankovitz residence, 7428 Brackenwood Circle North, following the funeral until 8 PM. They will also sit Friday from 10 AM - 12 PM and 2 PM - 4 PM. Additionally, the family will be sitting Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 10 AM - 12 PM and 2 PM - 8 PM each day.
