Linda Joyce Hawkins

Linda Joyce Hawkins 68, of Indianapolis, passed away March 22, 2018. She was born on November 30, 1949 in Cincinnati, OH to the late David Rivers and Lillie (May) Edwards. Linda married Robert Jones and relocated to Lorain, Ohio.
Linda found the truth at a young age and was baptized in 1965. Linda and her husband inculcated Bible truths in their children. Her children credit her for giving them a foundation in the truth. She encouraged her children to apply for Bethel service and pioneering.
Linda will always be remembered as a fashionista. She loved to shop and was very family oriented. She was a care-giver that also enjoyed cooking, hairstyling, and being a homemaker. Most importantly, Linda was a sister of the Heather Hills Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses and a long time faithful servant of Jehovah until the end of her life. Linda exercised faith in the resurrection as mentioned at John 11:25.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Michelle D. Rivers and Christina (Brian) Watson; sisters, Deborah Rivers, Janet Sabir of Cincinnati, OH, and Marla (David) Thomas of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Hilliard Rivers, Terry Rivers of San Antonio, TX, Thomas Rivers, and Mark Rivers of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Terea Ray, Amber Johnson, Kianna Davis, and Brianna "Breezy" Watson; great grandchildren, Troy, Cedrianna, Autumn, J.J., and Winter; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Danielle Monique Jones; son, Robert Jones; and brother, David Rivers.
A memorial service will be held on March 30, 2018 at the Heather Hills Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, 3993 S. 650W, New Palestine, Indiana 46163, at 1:30 pm. Friends may leave a memory or message of condolence by visiting the online obituary at www.arnmortuary.com.
