Linda Louise (Allomong) Ryan

Linda Louise Ryan (nee Allomong) passed away on September 17, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by her three children, Kelly Rhoades, Kristi Ryan and Mike Ryan.

She was born in Montpelier, Ohio on April 26, 1940 to her parents, Clifford Faye Allomong and Eileen Jeanette McCrea. Her father was killed in a car accident when she was 1 year old, and subsequently she was raised by her step-father, Noah Traxler. She grew up alongside her twin brother, Lyle Allomong; and a set of twin sisters, Donna Henry and Delores Grice.

Linda was married to the love of her life, Noel A. Ryan, for 53 years until his passing in 2018. She missed him every day. Noel was from Ireland and came to the United States to work for the same company as Linda. She captured his heart so much that when he returned to Ireland, he applied for citizenship and they were married on April 3, 1965. Linda said many times that she had an amazing life, a happy life. She never dreamed a small town girl would meet a young Irishman that would end up showing her the world and making her dreams come true. They created a beautiful life together and millions of magical memories for their family with their love, sense of humor and commitment.

Linda lost so many people in her lifetime. She deeply missed her beloved husband, her parents, her sisters, her twin brother; and some nieces and nephews. She was an amazing woman who always put her family first. Linda could always be counted on to give love, a smile, and a hug. She is survived by her three children; six grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Will, David, Dan, and Cathy; and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte.

Her loved ones are heartbroken and saddened to lose such a beautiful lady. However, through their tears and sadness, her family rejoices in her reuniting with the love of her life and the family and friends she has dearly missed.

To my Beloved Noel -    When I heard your voice, it was music to me.

When I looked into your eyes, I saw my future.

When you put your arms around me, I knew I was home.

A private family gathering will be held on September 30th at her home where her spirit and everything she loved still resides. Linda and Noel’s final resting place will be Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. There will be a private inurnment ceremony to place their urns in a niche at a later date.
