Lori Ann Kline (Sharp), born December 5, 1958, passed away on April 6, 2025. Born in Lafayette and raised in Rossville, IN, she attended and graduated from her beloved Indiana University with a degree from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. While at IU, she became a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and subsequently worked in their Indianapolis headquarters. Her professional life and her personal interests merged again when she worked for Geist Christian Church until her retirement in 2024.
An avid reader, golfer, and Cream & Crimson athletic enthusiast, these things were merely a close second to her true passion of being a follower of Christ, countless hours of volunteer work, and being a loving wife and mother. She was proud of her years of service on the Lawrence Township School Foundation and for her time leading as president; as well as, her membership in The Children’s Museum Guild – Indianapolis and Geist Christian Church women’s prayer group.
Lori is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kent Kline; their children, Derek and Maggie; her mother, Patricia Sharp, brother, David Sharp; and sister, Linda Forler (Joe). She was also a beloved niece, aunt, and cousin to many others. Lori was proceeded in death by her father, Arthur, and sister-in-law, Susan Sharp.
A celebration of life will be held at Geist Christian Church – Mud Creek Campus on Saturday, April 12. Visitation begins at 12 pm, followed by a service at 2pm. Please plan to wear bright colors to celebrate a life well lived. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to either Geist Christian Church or the Lawrence Township School Foundation.
