Manubhai Kheradia
was born in Gujarat, India to Late Khimjibhai Kheradia and Late Champaben Kheradia in 1950. While growing up he was an accomplished athlete and a state level wrestler. He was a spiritual person and had firm faith and belief in God. He was a follower of Swaminarayan Sampraday.
In 1973 he married his beloved wife Rumolaben Kheradia. Three years after marriage, at the age of 25 he moved to Nairobi, Kenya where he settled for the next 25 years of his life. He had four wonderful children and established a successful fashion design and soft furnishings business, dressing the likes of Mama Ngina (wife of Late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta - first president of Kenya), Pope John Paul II, to mention a few. He had the honor to furnish the Norfolk Hotel, Sheraton and homes of Mwai Kibaki (third president of Kenya) and Aga Khan (spiritual leader).
In the year 2000, he and his wife moved to Carmel, Indiana to be with his children and extended family. Here again, he started an upholstery and drapery business and became a much sought after upholsterer in the greater Indianapolis area. He was a beacon of light and hope for all and enriched lives of many people he came into contact with. His friendship and kindness to all he came into touch with will be truly treasured and missed.
He was an avid upholsterer and craftsman and channeled his passion for design and fashion into building masterpieces for his customers. He spent his spare time with his grandchildren, Ravi, Vineet and Kiaan. He enjoyed visiting and being in the company of friends and family.
