Long time owner of M.G. Tates passed away on April 8, 2016, he was 73.
Mark was born in Martinsville to James and Wilma Tate on March 18, 1943. He was a 1961 graduate of Martinsville High School where he excelled at Track. He held the state record in the 100 yard dash for over 20years. Mark was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.
He and his late wife Gail co-owned M.G. Tates, an award-winning home accessories and stationary store at Keystone at the Crossing, celebrating its 36th year in business.
He is survived by his sons; Hunter (Liz) Tate of Laguna Beach, CA;, and Peter (Tweedy) Zaft of Franklin, TN; brother, Rick (Connie) Tate of Bloomington, IN; sister, Polly Tate Benninghoff of Amelia Island, FL and 2 grandchildren.
Mark's wife of 43 years Gail Londe Tate preceded him in death last year.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00AM at ARN Funeral and Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Road. Burial will follow in Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery.
