Eileen was a truly wonderful person. Those who were blessed to have her in their lives remember her kindness, wisdom, and cheerful sense of humor. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Jim. She deeply cherished her children and grandchildren, and dedicated much of her life to raising them. She was a great listener and gave wonderful warm hugs. She was a wise advisor and coach. She was tough, creative, and a source of inspiration. But mostly, she made certain that those in her care always, always knew that they were loved.
In Dayton, Ohio, Eileen worked at NCR as a draftsman. She and Jim lived many places throughout her life, and over time they resided in eight other states as their family grew before moving to Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended the Dayton Art Institute, and was a talented sculptor and painter. She was active in scouts, serving as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She loved the outdoors, and found joy in camping, fishing, gardening and hiking. She was athletic and enjoyed swimming, golf, bowling and boating, and was a member of several golf and bowling leagues.
