Mary Vinkemulder
83 of Avon passed away November 21, 2013. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Clifford and Catherine Wilton on October 16, 1930. She was a graduate of Wyoming Park High School.
Mary was a member of North United Methodist Church, Indianapolis Symphonic Choir for 25 years, Cross Roads Guild, and Indianapolis Symphony West Group.
Mary is internationally known for making cloth dolls; she has produced over 2000 dolls for children at the IU West Hospital as well as the Crossroads Guild and Julian Center.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Barry; children, Linda Cuticchia of Indianapolis, Gail Kincaid of Fishers, and Jeff Vinkemulder of Aloha, OR; sister, Pamela McVeigh of Grand Rapids; and seven grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Vinkemulder and sister, Lois Sharp.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 30, at North United Methodist Church, 3808 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis, at 1 p.m. with visitation from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North United Methodist Church Music Program.
