Maureen J. (Powell) Hoskinson

Maureen J. Hoskinson, 66, of Stuart, IA passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in Zionsville, IN.

She was born in Perry, Iowa on March 8, 1953. She was raised and attended school in the Stuart area and graduated college from Iowa Statue University with a Bachelor of Arts. She worked for Girl Scouts, Headstart, Atterbury Job Corps, as a homemaker, landscaper, wood worker, nature photographer and farmer.

Maureen was a farmer by birth and profession, a Jane of all trades who loved her family and being outdoors. Her laughter was contagious and she never met a stranger, just a friend she didn’t know yet. She loved deeply and was so very loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband Craig S. Hoskinson; her parents, Max and Lougene Powell; and her brother, Guy Powell.

She is survived by her sister, Christine Fieldbinder; her daughter, Audrey Hoskinson Starr and son-in-law, Joshua Starr; and her grandchildren, Claire, Alex, and Oliver Starr of Zionsville, IN.

The family asks that donations be made in her name to the Audubon Society.

A celebration of life open house will be held Friday, January 24th from 1 - 4 pm at The Depot, 204 East Front Street, Stuart, Iowa. All are welcome.
