89 years of age, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away on December 6, 2015.
Maurice was born on June 19, 1926 in Indianapolis to Gayle and Glenn Butterfield. He was a graduate of Ben Davis High School. Maurice proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for Western Electric for 35 years, first in the plant and later as a department manager. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and Indiana Historical Society.
Maurice is survived by his beloved daughter, Beverly (Dennis) Eckstein; granddaughters, Stacey (Alex) Eckstein and Lindsey (David) Desrochers; great grandchildren, Aiden and Callie Desrochers; brother, Robert Butterfield and several nieces and nephews.
Maurice was preceded in death by his loving wife, Constance Brinly Butterfield and his older sister, Marjorie Sering.
