Maxine Hupp
"Do not allow any sadness to dwell in your soul, for sadness prevents the Holy Spirit from acting freely" - Saint Padre Pio

On February 6th Maxine Hupp was accompanied by angels to be with her Heavenly Father. Maxine was born in Grand Rapids, MI on June 12, 1936 where she was raised in the homes of her parents and near her grandparents whom she loved dearly. Maxine attended St. Adalbert Catholic School and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She married the love of her life, Marvin Hupp, on January 8, 1955. They spent 59 years together enjoying the life of raising a large family. Maxine loved Martha Stewart, garage sales, attending her children's and grandchildren's activities and spending time with her dogs. She enjoyed many hours volunteering at Scecina Memorial High School and John Marshall High School in support of their bands and many athletic teams. She loved, above all else, being a mother. Maxine had been a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and its Alter and Rosary Society in Morton, IL and most recently St. Mary's Church in Anderson, IN.

She joins her beloved daughter, Diane (Dede) Rodich; and her parents, Harry and Rose Micun, in Heaven. Maxine will be deeply missed by her husband, Marvin Hupp of Anderson, IN; children, Patty Jo Elwood (Steve Eward), Michael (Linda) Hupp, Casey (Maury) Morgan, Tony (Lori) Hupp and Theresa (Jim) Onken; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Marcia Begeman (Jim) of Kalamazoo, MI.

A remembrance for Maxine will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church beginning on Saturday, February 15th, at 10:00 AM, with a Mass to follow. Cemetery services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Padre Pio Foundation of America, 463 Main Street, Cromwell, CT 06416.

Arrangements entrusted to Aaron Ruben Nelson Mortuary.
