Meyer Maierson
95, life resident of Indianapolis, died May 17, 2012.
He was a graduate of Shortridge High School and a proud Army veteran of WWII. Meyer had owned Maierson Wholesale Meats on Indianapolis' south side. Later, he worked for USA Today until he retired at the age of 75. He was a long time member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck and American Legion Post #34.
Meyer is survived by his beloved children, Jim Maierson and Susie Townsend; his grandchildren, Becca Townsend and Matt Fuson; and his sisters, Sylvia Rothbard and Phyllis Druck. His wife Tillie preceded him in death.
Private graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, 6501 North Meridian St., 46260 or to a favorite charity.
