63, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. He was a life-long resident of Indianapolis, IN.

He was born March 28, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN, and was a graduate of Shortridge High School. He served in the United States Army, and he worked as a laborer and factory worker for various companies.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Richard G. Covington, Sr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother, Mrs. Alice L. Covington; son, Michael E. Covington, Jr.; daughter, Lisa Covington; sisters, Shelley Covington, Karon Covington, and Brenda Johnson; grandsons, Michael III and Raheem; and a host of family and friends.

Services will be private.
