Michael Edward Hayden,
69, of Zionsville, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Mike was born in Sullivan, Indiana and grew up on the East Cost. Mike proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Lafayette submarine. His career was in IT sales for several computer companies, including Prime Computers, Sun Microsystems and Moser Consulting and in flight simulation training.
A man of great passion and enthusiasm with many interests, Mike played golf, scuba dove, rode the Hilly Hundred, rant the Mini Marathon, raced dog sleds, skied and loved to fly his plane. Mike was known for his positive spirit and huge generosity. He was a great friend to people and animals, always willing to go out of his way to help.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughter, Emily; three sisters; and one brother.
Memorial Mass will be held at 3 PM on Friday, January 17th at St. Mary Church, 317 N. New Jersey St., Indianapolis. A reception will immediately follow the Mass in the Parish Hall.
