Michael E. Ryan

passed away November 14, 2020 in Avon, Indiana at the age of 70.

Michael was born to Lorraine and Paul E. Ryan on May 7, 1950 in Beech Grove, Indiana.  He graduated from Manual High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1968.  He graduated from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis with an Engineering degree in 1980.

Michael enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1968.  He did his basic training in San Diego, California, then served in Vietnam for two years.  During his service, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Rifle Marksmanship Badge and then later the Purple Heart Award.

Both of his parents preceded him in death.  He is survived by his wife, Verna Webb Ryan; children, Jamie Ryan, Michael T. Ryan, Anthony (Kim) Hoover and Paige Hoover; grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa, Chase, Clayton and Kaylee; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Butch) Ramsey, Rhonda (Patrick) Trim, and Paula (John) Boone; brother, Ronald (Patty) Ryan; and beloved cat, "Dawg".

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
