Michael Alan Waldman
66 years of age, lifelong resident of Indiana passed away July 5, surrounded by his beloved family.
Michael was born to Lester and Doris Waldman on Dec 7, 1946. He was part of the first graduating class of North Central High School at its current location and a graduate of Indiana State University.
Upon graduation he entered the family business, Thomas' Market on New York Street. Michael ran the store, serving as company President for 25 years, until the store's closing.
For the next 13 years Michael worked as a route salesman for Frito Lay; and was honored as the Top Route Salesman for his district. He retired in 2009.
Michael was an avid golfer, he was fortunate to play the most elite courses in the world, playing in Scotland and Ireland. He was very patriotic and felt a deep passion for the Wounded Warrior Project and strongly supported this organization.
His deepest love was for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanie Winter Waldman; his daughter, Wendy (Joannis) Koulisianis; son, Adam (Helaine) Waldman; brothers, Terry (Dawn) Waldman, Elliott (Veronica) Waldman and the light of his life, his grandson Zack.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 7, 2013 at 11:00 am, at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, 600 West 70th Street. Burial will follow in Beth El Zedeck North Cemetery.
The family will return to Congregation Beth-El Zedeck to spend time with friends and loved ones from 3:30-5:30 pm Sunday, Monday and Tuesday there will be a Shiva gatherings from 7-9 pm at the home of Joanie's sister, Esther (Randy) Fishman, 12967 Portsmouth Drive, Carmel, 46032.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beth El Zedeck Early Childhood Center.
