Mildred Bodiker Lange, 90, Indianapolis, passed away June 24, 2013. She was born in Tipp City, Ohio, the daughter of Irma Filbrun Bodiker and Russell Bodiker. Both parents' families were early settlers of the Tipp City area.
She was a graduate of Tipp City High School and received an RN degree from Bethesda Hospital School of nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She and her late husband, Carl, were the loving and devoted parents of Thomas (Linda) and Douglas (Maria) Lange. She and Carl were active in scouting and their sons reached the rank of Eagle Scout. Two of her great grandsons are continuing the tradition. They spent several years as restaurant owner-operators and continued to love fine dining in their travels.
The couple loved camping and traveling with their sons and grandsons and continued doing so into retirement, visiting Europe and exploring the U.S.
They were active in their church and in community outreach. Mildred and Carl retired to Oxford, Ohio, where they became avid golfers and vacationed in their motor home.
Mildred is survived by her two sons, five grandsons, and five great grandchildren. May she rest in peace and be reunited with her husband Carl.
