Mildred "Middy" (Yarnelle) Paullus

Mildred “Middy” Paullus passed away November 20, 2023 in Carmel.  She was born August 10, 1926 in Wabash, Indiana to the late James and Lois Yarnelle. Known for her outgoing, witty personality, she was loved by many. After graduating from Wabash High School in 1944, she attended college and studied nursing. She lived a long life filled with travel, family and friends, and many much loved dogs.  Middy was a member of the Wabash Presbyterian Church, DAR and Tri Kappa. She was a real estate agent for several years.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Bruce) Grimes; grandchildren, Mary Thomas, Drew Grimes and Bryan Grimes; and seven great-grandchildren. Middy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Paullus; daughter, Lois Smock; and grandson, William K Saint III.

A private family gathering will take place at Falls Cemetery in Wabash at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Wabash Presbyterian Church.
