Monica Hi Yee

Monica Hi Yee, 78, was born "Sulia Yee" in Manila, Philippines on March 23, 1939 and passed into eternal life on Saturday, August 19, 2017. She was daughter to Hi Caiji and Chung Hi Pat of China. As a young woman, Monica traveled through Asia in a singing group. She immigrated to Carmel, Indiana to join her sisters in 1987. She worked at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Indianapolis for 17 years and retired from Hyatt in 2004. She was a parishioner of St. Monica Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She enjoyed travel, singing Chinese music, foods of all types and her family.

She is survived by her son, Mason Woon (Teresita); daughter, Margaret Woon-Castro (Edgar Castro); grandchildren Marites Woon and Bryant Woon; sisters, Jean Chua (Gonzalo) and Sulan Yee; and loving nieces and nephews.
