Norman E Montgomery

May 12, 1931 — July 17, 2012

Norman E. Montgomery, Sr., 81 of Indianapolis passed away July 17, 2012. He was born and raised in Goodland, Indiana by his loving parents, John and Ruth Montgomery. He graduated from Goodland High School and went into the US Marines as a young man and became an instructor and staff sergeant. Norman served his country during the Korean War. He worked for Lockhart Cadillac for over 30 years.

He was survived by his loving wife, Frances; children, Dennis (Sara), Debbie, Greg, and Norman Jr.; step-sons, Glenn and James Dill; grandchildren, Garrett (Bonnie), Austin, Chad (Nellie), Kevin, Jenny (Kreg) Stewart, Zachary and Abigail; eight great-grandchildren; and brothers, Charles "Rex" (Maxine) and Merlin.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Helen I. Downs; and brother, Willard (Pat).

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Keith Logie and Dr. Hamdan and to all the many wonderful nurses at IU Cancer Center and the Indiana Heart Hospital.
