Patricia Mary Albrecht

Patricia Mary Albrecht, born on May 29, 1959 in Vestal, New York, passed away on December 27, 2024  at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, due to complications from diabetes. She was 65 years old.

Pat was the beloved daughter of Paul and Rosemary Albrecht and grew up in a lively household with six sisters and one brother. She is survived by her mother, Rosemary Albrecht; siblings Mary Krasuski(John), Cathy Thomas(David), Carol Izyk(Dan), Teri Benson(Bob), Barbara Knight, Anne Swearingen(Bob) and Paul Albrecht. She pursued higher education at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York, where she earned an engineering degree. Pat went on to enjoy a distinguished 30-year career at Kodak, where her expertise and dedication left a lasting impact.

Pat was a 10 year ovarian cancer survivor and lived with type 1 diabetes for an incredible 60 years, She turned her personal challenges into opportunities to help others. She was an active participant in ovarian cancer and diabetes support groups and generously shared her knowledge to assist others in managing their own health journeys.

 Pat had a deep love for animals and opened her heart and home as a foster mom to many dogs and cats over the years, including litters of kittens and puppies. Her nurturing spirit extended to her family as well.  She cherished spending time with her four nieces, seven nephews, and 3 grand-nephews, often capturing precious moments through her passion for photography. 

Visitation is scheduled for January 2, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM, both at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, located at 11411 N Michigan Rd, Zionsville, IN 46077. Inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Paul's Cemetery of Mechanicville, New York.
