Patrick Joel McGarvey,

68, of Indianapolis, passed away September 23, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Martha McGarvey. He went to Kentucky Military Institute but was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School. He attended Butler University.

Pat was the owner of McGarvey & Associates, a general contracting business. He renovated hotels and casinos for the Chippewa Indian tribe in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He was a designer for hotels, motels, and restaurants in the Indianapolis area and throughout the country. In the 1980's Pat also founded the White River Group.

Pat is survived by his son, Mark (Cindi) McGarvey and three loving grandchildren, Ari, Maia, and Eli of Zionsville. He is preceded in death by his son, Mike.

Pat embraced life, had many wonderful adventures, and was an entertaining story teller.

A Celebration of Life will be held at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Rd, Zionsville, on Thursday, September 29th, with visitation from 3PM until the time of service at 4PM.
