Patrick James Roman
passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on April 9, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born on December 3, 1964 in Akron, Ohio and later graduated from St. Vincent/St. Mary High School. A baseball scholarship led him to the Colorado School of Mines where he pursued engineering, later graduating with a civil engineering degree from the University of Colorado.
His career took him to Las Vegas, then back to his beloved Colorado, and recently back to his home state of Ohio where he resided in Columbus. Pat was passionate about many things in his life: hunting, fishing, golf, his dogs, and most importantly his family and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by his loving mother, Sharon (Moore) Roman. He is survived by his wife, Marcie (Brown) Roman; loving daughters, Nicole and Melanie Roman, and their mother, Kim (Wright) Rutt; his father, Tom Roman and his wife, Gayle; his brother, Mike Roman; his sisters Kathy Michel and Amanda Lancaster; his brothers-in-law, Nathan Brown, Mark Brown, and John Michel; his sisters-in-law, Kelly Brown, Shasta Brown, and Theresa Roman; his nieces, Rachel and Jessica Roman, and Parker Michel; his nephews, Baylor Brown, Logan and Drury Brown, and Griffin, Ethan, and Seth Michel.
The family would like to thank the staff of Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital for the care and comfort provided to Pat and all of them during his brief illness. In loving memory of Pat, donations can be sent to: IU Health Methodist Hospital, Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy Services, PO Box 1367, Wile Hall W230, Indianapolis, IN 46206-1367.
