With profound grief and a heavy heart we share the sad news that Smt. Pavitar Kanta Mannan, who was often addressed by her Eldest brother as “Pradhan Mantri” (Prime Minister) Passed away on November 11, 2022 in Indianapolis at the age of 77.
Smt. Pavitar Kanta was born to Shri Prithvi Ram and Smt. Ram Payari on August 15, 1945 in Amritsar, India. She moved to the United States in 2009 to live with her family and had lived in many cities prior to settling in Indianapolis in 2020.
Smt. Pavitar Kanta was known to her children as true disciplinarian who instilled high value for education. She was instrumental to their successes and felt blessed that her daughter graduated with dual degrees in science and education and that her two sons pursued health professions with one becoming a doctor and the other an endodontist. Smt. Pavitar Kanta also had true passion in cooking, which was not a surprise as she came from a confectioner family. Many in the family remember her meals as the one of the best they ever ate.
Smt Pavitar Kanta is survived by her devoted husband Sh. Subhash Chander Mannan; their three children, Meenu, Manish and Saurabh; grandchildren, Madhavi, Mukund, Isha, Ela, Tejus and Aveer.
Smt. Pavitar Kanta will be dearly missed by her son-in-law; Rajesh Bhakhri and daughter-in-laws; Amita and Nily.
Funeral services will be held at A.R.N Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Rd., Zionsville, IN on Monday November, 14th at 4 PM.
