Peggy Colby passed peacefully on January 24, 2025. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 31, 1939, Peggy attended Tulsa University where she met her husband and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. After college Peggy moved to Indianapolis, Indiana with her new husband. Peggy together with her business partner opened and owned the popular Mole Hole Store at the Fashion Mall at Keystone for many years.
After retiring Peggy and her husband spent a majority of their time in Crested Butte, Colorado falling in love with the small mountain town, the mountains and wildflowers, and becoming active part of the community.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 63 years, John "Jack" R. Colby; and her daughter, Keli Colby of Washington, D.C. Peggy’s family and friends remember her as a kind and loving person who brought sunshine to those around her.
