Peggy J. Loughridge, 68, Anderson, passed away December 22, 2011 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Illinois on October 2, 1943 to Delphia and Thomas Gregson, she was a lifelong resident of central Indiana. Peggy and her husband, Jim, owned and operated D&L Honing from 1969-2004. A member of Eastern Star and Redbud Quilt Guild, she attended East Side Church of God before her illness. She worked with CASA, enjoyed quilting, knitting, shopping and spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include son, Jeffrey Loughridge; daughter, Carol S. Loughridge; grandson, Tyler Loughridge; sister, Deborah Koons; uncle, Clifford Trimble, Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Norma Van Metre, and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James E. Loughridge, who passed away on October 24, 2011; her mother, Delphia McMinn; and brother-in-law, Dale Koons.
A memorial service is planned at 3 pm, Saturday, January 21, at East Side Church of God, 2600 East Fifth Street, Anderson, IN. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm Saturday at the church. Internment of cremains will take place at a later time.
