Peter Skadron
89, of Carmel, died on April 10, 2021. He was born in Vienna, Austria, the elder of two sons of the late Armin and Margaret Skadron.
A graduate of Shortridge High School, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with honors and a Ph.D. in Physics from Purdue University, after which he served as a research scientist at the Sprague Electric Co. Laboratories in North Adams, Mass. He later became a member of the Butler University Physics Department faculty, serving for 20 years.
He was a past member of the American Physical Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and Sigma Xi and honorary research society.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 44 years, Sandra and brother, George of Albuquerque, MM.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 2:30 pm at Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation North Cemetery
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis.
