Praful Chunilal Mehta, a cherished soul born on October 23, 1954, in the vibrant town of Mahuva, Gujarat, India, and a cancer survivor departed this world on February 16, 2025. His journey through life was marked by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family and profession. As a businessman in India and then as an asset protection associate at Walmart, Praful diligently served his community, ensuring that safety and security were paramount in his workplace. His contributions to this vital field were reflective of his nurturing spirit, always looking out for others.
Praful held dear the simple joys that life offered. It was not his career that defined him; it was the love he fostered within his immediate family and his strong belief in lord Shreenathji. He is survived by his beloved wife, Hema Mehta, whose warmth filled their home with love and laughter. Together, they shared the profound joy of raising their son, Dhaval Mehta, who undoubtedly carries forth the values instilled in him by his father. In addition to his immediate family, Praful's life was enriched by his daughter-in-law Kajal Mehta, who was part of his supportive circle. Family was a sanctuary for Praful, as was evident in the bonds forged and cherished over the years.
Praful's journey was paved with both triumphs and trials, culminating in the profound loss felt by those he leaves behind. He is preceded in death by his father, Chunilal J. Mehta, and his mother, Jasumati C. Mehta, whose legacies undoubtedly shaped him into the compassionate and diligent man he became. Their memories will forever remain etched in the hearts of his family.
In remembrance of Praful’s enduring spirit and life, a Prayer Service will be held on February 21, 2025, at the Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 North Michigan Road from 10am - 12pm, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and the impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. Praful leaves behind a legacy of love, determination, and integrity—one that will continue to inspire and guide his family as they navigate the path ahead without him.
